Are play mats and giant games a solution to the epidemic of ADHD

Whilst somewhat contentious, it is worth considering the possibility that the work of Dr Aric Sigmund may be of importance to the daily challenges confronted by those in society charged with teaching our younger generations.

Dr Sigmund’s hypothesis is that the exposure of people in general and our young in particular, to all sources of hyper-stimulation, television being the main culprit, is at the core of hyperactivity and short attention spans.

Whilst not Dr Sigmund’s opinion, we would also suggest that extensive viewing of television is contributing to children with a variety of hand, eye co-ordination problems, not even to mention the growing epidemic of obesity.

co-ordination skills and exercise.

We would argue that all the resources in this website involve an integration of physically activity and basic educational concepts of numeracy, literacy, strategic thinking, and having fun.

There is growing evidence of the veracity of play mats to educate children so they learn.

We invite you to share your experiences and opinions with us on this matter.
